| "Seaberg" has an ease of flow and material lightness long associated with the Australian beach houses of yesteryears. The living areas and main bedroom suite are the household core, then a couple of extra outhouses freestanding but connected by pergolas make up this home for the seaside dwellers who reside here. Stepped interior and exterior floor levels follow the fall of the site and enable sea views from all aspects. The front steps double up as a seat hangout. Perforated slatted screens can be adjusted according to the season or to balance a sense of exposure or protection. A deliberate restricted palette with a modulation of ply and cement sheeting panels. This is a lightweight construction with very strategic detailing.
